About Black Obsidian

Obsidian is volcanic glass, formed when lava cools too quickly to crystallise. It has been worked into blades and mirrors for thousands of years, and in crystal-healing tradition it is the principal stone of protection — held to absorb rather than deflect, and to show the wearer plainly what they would rather not look at.

Round beads take far more cutting and polishing than chips or irregular pieces, which is why they have a cleaner line on the wrist and a more even finish. How to use it

Wear it on either wrist through the day. The round beads sit flush against the skin and roll easily under the fingers, so the bracelet also works as a short counting strand if you use one for breath work or mantra. Take it off before swimming or bathing.
